Cotton fabrics
All cotton fabrics from which we sew our accessories for children are of the highest quality, which means that in addition to the fact that they are actually made of 100% cotton fibers, they also have properly woven weaves.
Yes, we know that cotton fabrics are considered to be “unbreakable”, but the highest quality ones really require appropriate treatment. Thanks to this, they will fulfill their function for longer, and at the same time keep their aesthetic appearance.
Washing products made of cotton
Fabric manufacturers recommend that all products and accessories made of cotton fabrics be washed by hand at a temperature not exceeding 30ºC. They should also not be spin or bleached.
Color protection
Many of the fabrics from which we make our accessories are characterised by vivid and intense colors. In order to preserve the saturation of the fabrics, we recommend the use of color protection agents.
Fabrics with a dark print – refreshing and preserving the color.
Is there any way for the fabric to retain its intense color even longer? Yes.
When it comes to dark printed fabrics, we know a fantastic way to refresh and protect the colors from losing their intensity. It is a method passed on in our family from generation to generation, so we recommend it with all my heart.
We make a solution: water + white vinegar. Then we soak dark clothes or accessories in it for about an hour, then rinse it with liquid to dark colors and dry it as usual. The effects are amazing, especially with dark fabrics and jeans.
Drying
Ideally, the entire drying process should take place outdoors in a well-ventilated area, or outdoors in the fresh air, but not in direct sunlight.
WE AVOID:
- washing at high temperatures,
- washing in a washing machine,
- intensive spinning,
- drying in a tumble dryer or in direct sunlight,
- storage in humid places.
All these activities weaken the structure of the fibers – fabrics can shrink or stretch and contribute to the loss of color – especially when drying in full sun.
Care tips
Brushing
We make them once in a while, e.g. once a week or two. First, brush the fur well with a brush, and then “treat” it with a vacuum cleaner tip – take it easy, nothing bad will happen 🙂 Thanks to this, the fleece structure will be refreshed and any loose spots will be removed. The fur will be like new again. 🙂
Talking
Most often we use them in the case of dirt or (and) excessive moisture. In this case, sprinkle talcum powder on the fur – baby powder is perfect, and then comb it. Ready. The fur is clean, dry and refreshed.
Washing
We wash by hand at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C. It is best to use a wool detergent for washing. We avoid washing in the washing machine, and if we want to do it, it is only at our own risk and without spinning.
Drying
After removing the fur from the wash, excess water is squeezed several times, e.g. in a towel, and then left to dry. During drying, we brush the fur several times, which will allow us to maintain its original structure and fluffiness.
WE AVOID:
washing at high temperatures,
washing in a washing machine,
spinning,
drying in a tumble dryer or in direct sunlight.
Removal of minor dirt
In the case of minor dirt, it is enough to wipe the fabric with a wet tissue or cloth.
Washing
When washing, we follow the recommendations that we have on the care label sewn in. Accessories made of eco-leather or waterproof fabric are washed by hand at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C. We do not spin, we do not bleach.
Eco-leather drying process
In the case of eco-leather, special attention should be paid to the drying process, regardless of whether it will be drying after washing or after rain or snow. Firstly. We dry it in the open air, preferably in a dry and airy room. Secondly. We do not leave wet or damp accessories in cold and humid places, as this may damage the eco-leather structure or cause fungus to it. This note also applies to waterproof fabrics.
